Biography
Negah Angha brings nearly two decades of experience advising U.S. Department of State and National Security Council leadership on policy development and strategic communication. Most recently, she worked at The Cohen Group, partnering with multinational companies across various industries. From 2021–2022, Negah served as the Director for Multilateral Initiatives at the National Security Council, where she managed the Biden-Harris Administration’s Summit for Democracy. She later became the Director for Partnerships and Global Engagement, leading outreach to stakeholders in the business, labor, think tank, academic, and diaspora communities.
Before her White House tenure, Negah held multiple roles at the U.S. Department of State, representing the U.S. in bilateral and multilateral negotiations and advising on issues such as G-7 and UN Security Council policy, sanctions, counterterrorism, and international donor coordination in the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia. Negah is the recipient of multiple State Department Superior and Meritorious Honor Awards. She was recognized in the 2022 and 2023 U.S. National Security and Foreign Affairs Leadership List by CSIS and the Diversity in National Security Network.
She holds an M.A. in International Peace and Conflict Resolution and an MBA from American University and is a PhD candidate at King’s College London. Negah has also held fellowships with the Atlantic Council and Harvard University, and has taught at King’s College London and the UK Defense Academy Joint Services Command and Staff College.
